Hardware Setup

The unit is now ready to be inserted into the NAS unit. Just slide it in, push down the lever and voila .. the NAS unit will take care of the rest.

Once powered up you just can't deny that the QNAP TS-439 Series Turbo NAS is a very pleasing product when it comes to the eyes. Traditionally, network related gear always was designed  .. well old-fashioned. I mean that's a good looking unit right ?

You'll notice that located in the top of the QNAP TS-439 Series Turbo NAS is a little LCD display. You can use it for monitoring network information, yet you can also activate a menu allowing low-level configurations. For example, if you need AES256 encryption, you could selected it from the menu.  Though using the web-interface is obviously much more convenient.
